Tenute Pili have a name that lovers of good wine can recognise. The name of a man who, in the lands of Soleminis, in southern Sardinia, cultivated vines and always produced excellent wines.
By virtue of a long experience of working in the vineyards and in winemaking, today Le Tenute occupies a leading place in the Sardinian wine scene for the quality of the wines produced and the modernity of the systems. The phrase that identifies them, Our history in wines, represents the firm desire to preserve that continuity which, over the centuries, harvest after harvest, characterizes the culture of the Sardinian people.
In the highest part of Le Tenute di Carlo Pili, located in front of the ancient Nuragic site Facc’e’Idda, the new cellar was built in 2009. Here the grapes are delivered immediately after harvesting, to then be transformed into that wonderful nectar called wine. The new cellar is a modern and efficient structure, equipped with the most sophisticated winemaking technologies. An excellent technical laboratory is its flagship. In the production of Tenute Pili the new cellar has replaced the older one, located on the outskirts of the city of Monserrato. However, today the old structure not only represents a wonderful example of industrial archaeology, but comes back to life thanks to the setting up of the new showroom. In its premises, Le Tenute di Carlo Pili sells its wines, even directly.
